July 14, 2022 - Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)
Vancouver Bandits News Release

LANGLEY, B.C. - The Fraser Valley Bandits announced Thursday that the club has broken both league and team records by hosting the most attended Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) game ever.

4,404 fans attended Fraser Valley's 92-89 victory against the Scarborough Shooting Stars on June 18 as part of the inaugural BC Basketball Festival. The June 18th affair was the highest attended game in Bandits and CEBL history.

The second highest attended game in Bandits history occurred 11 days prior when Fraser Valley welcomed 3,855 fans for its June 7 tilt against the Hamilton Honey Badgers.

With three home games left to play and in celebration of its most successful season at the box office to date, Fraser Valley announced that it is going on sale with season ticket deposits upon request for its 2023 campaign at Langley Events Centre (LEC).

A key contributing factor for the Bandits' strong attendance this season is the club's focus on creating a riveting entertainment product in collaboration with LEC for fans of all ages to enjoy.

Each game offers a unique experience, from the atmosphere and cuisine, to the highlight reel plays and game day themes, there is something for everyone. Pre-game buffets, the Westsiders drumline, plenty of sponsored activations and fan giveaways, as well as the energy of hosts Kat Stefankiewicz and Chris Wiggins are just a taste of what fans can look forward to.

Notable themes from this past season include the BC Basketball Festival, School Day Game, Hoops and Heroes and this Sunday's highly anticipated Star Wars Game (click for tickets) on July 17.

Fans are invited to confirm their request to make a $50 deposit for 2023 season tickets now. Once a request is received, a Bandits account executive will be in contact to coordinate next steps and to assist with the purchase of season tickets in the best available seating locations at LEC.

Deposits for the VIP Club are priced at $100. All deposits for season tickets are inclusive of taxes and fees.

Following its move at the conclusion of the 2021 season to LEC, Fraser Valley has increased its season ticket base and courtside hospitality offerings (seats and tables) are sold-out.

Due to the influx of interest in season tickets packages and the fervent appetite for primetime seats with an up close and personal view of the action, the Bandits' front office also unveiled its first-ever "Courtside Waitlist."

Fans interested in securing their spot in line for future courtside seat availability are kindly asked to fill out THIS form and a Bandits representative will be in touch to discuss possible ticket options.

"Our 2022 season to date has been extremely memorable and we are not done yet. With three games remaining and the playoffs ahead, we are thrilled to make 2023 season ticket deposits available for fans who want to secure their spot at one of British Columbia's best sports and entertainment products," Bandits president Dylan Kular said.

"Season ticket deposits are a great way for businesses, families and friends to ensure they have their desired place at the home of pro basketball in B.C. next summer. Thanks to the response of fans and our strong attendance this year, I am pleased to see that Bandits basketball has proven to be a popular choice for young professionals and colleagues looking for a night out, while also remaining the accessible and affordable outing that we have strived for it to become."

Although promising plans for its 2023 season are underway, Fraser Valley is primed for an exciting finish to its 2022 campaign.

The Bandits sit third in the CEBL standings and have an opportunity to clinch a postseason berth this Friday, July 15 when the club tips off against the Guelph Nighthawks at 7 p.m.

Rounding out the two-game homestand is a highly anticipated rematch against the Ottawa BlackJacks at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 as part of its Star Wars game festivities.

Tickets for both games are going fast and are available for purchase now at THIS link.

Tickets are available for purchase at thebandits.ca/tickets. Fans are kindly asked to call (604) 866-0529 or email tickets@thebandits.ca for any questions or ticket related inquiries.
