MUSKEGON, MI.--- Minor pro hockey's all-time top winning team, the Muskegon Fury of the International Hockey League are coming back to Mason County and the Ludington / Scottville area for an exciting night as the perennial powerhouse, highly-decorated organization salutes their many loyal and great fans along the west shore community.
Presented by WEST SHORE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THE LUDINGTON DAILY NEWS and the Fury's exclusive radio flagship home of WWKR-FM 94.1, "WEST MICHIGAN'S 94 K-ROCK," the Fury will bring their IHL training camp act to the West Shore Community College Ice Arena, WEDNESDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 17TH from 5:45 pm to 9:00 pm for an evening that will see head coach Bruce Ramsay and his title-contending squad con-duct a special practice session, hockey clinic, as well as a fun and exciting autographs and photographs session in a full evening of interaction and entertainment with the many Fury hockey fans in the Ludington / Scottville area and all of Mason County.
Admission to the public is totally free!! With the opening of their IHL season a mere three nights later on Saturday, October 20th at Muskegon's Walker Arena against archrival Kalamazoo, the Fury will be gearing up as they make final preparations for the 2007-08 IHL regular season campaign.
The evening of Fury and fans fun interaction will commence with a full-scale autograph and photograph session from 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm with all of the 2007-08 edition of the Fury team present and available to meet and greet fans and participate in a number of prize giveaways courtesy of the Fury, West Shore Community College, Ludington Daily News and 94 K-Rock.
From 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm, coach Ramsay and the "Voice of the Fury," Terry Ficorelli, will host a general discussion and question and answer period with all of the West Shore junior hockey program as well as all interested Fury fans.
The record-breaking, history-making four time champions will then take the ice for an upbeat, up-tempo practice session which is scheduled from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All fans are welcome to watch the Fury's lively, energetic workout as during this session there will be lots of excellent prizes given away, including Fury family-ticket packages, jerseys and other assorted Fury merchandise.
Coach Ramsay and his Fury squadron will cap the special night of activities with an on-ice mini-clinic to be conducted with the West Shore junior hockey program youngsters from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
As part of the up-close and personal night, fans will be treated by the antics of the Fury's ever-popular mascot, "Furious Fred," who will be in attendance to entertain the fans both young and old alike.
Once again, admission to this special fun event is free with plenty of giveaways and prizes on that night.
