Ottawa Fury FC News Release

OTTAWA, ON - Ottawa Fury FC unveiled the first alternate kit in club history on Friday. The Fury FC fan base were the first to learn about the new kit. Later in the evening, the kits were unveiled on the big screen in front of a sellout crowd at TD Place that were decked out in plaid for the REDBLACKS Lumberjack and Lumberjill night. Fittingly, the all-red kit is cut with plaid on the collar, sleeves and shorts paying homage to Ottawa's historic lumber trade.

"This is a fantastic kit," said Captain Richie Ryan. "They look sharp and I love the colour. The plaid is a nice touch. My favourite jersey of the three we now have."

The launch of the new kit, supplied by Admiral, was a surprise to Ryan and his teammates who saw them for the first time following training on Thursday. A select group of Fury fans were also treated to a sneak peak of the new kit and a private tour of the dressing room.

"Plaid is the new black," joked Fury FC President John Pugh. "This is a really nice design. Both the players and fans that got a sneak peek really loved it and I can't wait to see fans decked out in our new alternate jersey at the August 15 match."

The hottest team in the North American Soccer League (NASL) will debut their new strip next Saturday, August 15 at TD Place when they host Minnesota United FC. Tickets available for this match at OttawaFuryFC.com.

Ottawa's new jersey will go on-sale Saturday morning (August 8) at 10:00am at the Team Store at TD Place (Gate 2) and online at Shop.OttawaFuryFC.com.
