EDMONTON, AB - FC Edmonton (3-2-2) are back on the road Saturday, Aug. 8, facing Minnesota United FC (2-2-2) at National Sports Centre (NSC) Stadium in match eight of the Eddies' North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Season and the second of three legs in the annual supporter-run Flyover Cup.

On Wednesday, the third-place Eddies collected a 2-0 win over Indy Eleven thanks to goals from captain Albert Watson and Tomi Ameobi. The Eddies defence has been for the majority of the Fall Season. Each Eddies victory this Fall has been a clean sheet, a sign of improvement the team has seen on the back line after a lacklustre effort during the Spring campaign.

Both Daryl Fordyce and Sainey Nyassi will be available for selection after making their return to the Eddies lineup this past week. Eddies goalkeeper Matt VanOekel will return to face his former club for the first time in Minnesota since signing with the Eddies during the off-season.

The Loons currently sit in fourth place in the Fall Season standings with eight points and are coming off a 2-1 mid-week defeat to Spring Season Champion New York Cosmos. Minnesota defender Justin Davis is coming off an NASL Team of the Week appearance for his impressive performance against Jacksonville Armada, where he tallied a late goal and assist.

Saturday's clash at NSC stadium will be the second meeting between the Eddies and the Loons in 2015. Both sides met at Clarke Field back in May in an exciting 2-2 draw. An Eddies comeback led by Lance Laing and Tomi Ameobi fell short when Jamie Watson levelled the match on 85 minutes.

"We always have good games when we play each other," FC Edmonton head coach Colin Miller said. "It's a good surface in Minnesota, a good crowd and organization and they have great players. Minnesota is arguably one of the top sides in the league. Our guys are excited to be playing in the evening on a grass surface and I'm sure Matt [VanOekel] will be excited returning to his former club."

FC Edmonton play their third match in seven days on the road this Saturday, August 8 against Minnesota United FC at NSC Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. MT. The match will be streamed online on NASL.com in Canada and ESPN3 in the United States. For more information, visit www.fcedmonton.com.
