Fury FC Signs Trialist Protais Mutambala

OTTAWA - In the midst of one of the best start of a season in its franchise history, Ottawa Fury FC announced on Thursday it has signed a new trialist to the squad. Protais Bumbu Mutambala, a young midfielder born in Tanzania and raised in Quebec City, has joined the club for the season.

The 20-year old started playing soccer at 10 years old. He made his debut with the Canadian youth program in 2015 at a Men's U-18 development camp. He has trained with the Montreal Impact Academy as well as concluded the 2018 season with CS Longueil in the Quebec premier league (PLSQ) before trying out for a spot on the Fury FC roster.

Fury FC continues its 2019 USL Championship season on Saturday, April 20 as it travels to face the reigning champion Louisville City FC. Fury FC will return to TD Place on Sunday, April 28 when it hosts Atlanta United 2.
