Ottawa Fury FC News Release

OTTAWA - Ottawa Fury FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau has been selected on the USL Team of the Week for Week 27. Crépeau recorded his league-leading 13th shutout of the season - tying the USL single-season record - with a five-save performance in Fury FC's 2-0 win against the Richmond Kickers on Saturday.

Crépeau garnered 25 percent of the votes in the league poll conducted with a national panel of independent media representing every USL market, tied second with FC Cincinnati's Emmanuel Ledesma, just behind USL Player of the Week Tsubasa Endoh of Toronto FC II who collected 44 percent of the poll.

Crépeau, who joined Fury FC for the 2018 season on loan from MLS affiliate Montreal Impact, has featured in 27 matches so far this season, securing 13 clean sheets for the club and maintaining a saves success rate above 74% (72 saves in 97 shots faced), including two crucial penalties saved. Crépeau was also recently called-up to Canada's Men's National Team for the country's qualifying match in the Concacaf Nations League.

The Quebec native had a total of seven appearances for the Montreal Impact in 2017, which included the club's all four Canadian Championship matches. He had previously featured in 29 games for FC Montreal in the 2015-2016 seasons.

Ottawa Fury FC and goalkeeper Crépeau will continue their fight for a playoff spot on Saturday when they travel to face 2017 USL Champion Louisville City FC (KO 7:30 p.m.). The men in red and black will then get to play in front of their home fans the following week, on Sunday, September 30, as they host Bethlehem Steel FC (KO 1 p.m.) at TD Place.
