BLOOMINGTON - The Boomington Prairie Thunder returned the favor to the Muskegon Fury Friday, downing Muskegon 8-2 a night after the Fury topped the Prairie Thunder 6-1.

The Prairie Thunder struck three times in the first period. Leo Thomas made it 1-0 5 minutes and 32 seconds into the game on the 4-on-4, taking the feed from Don Parsons and beating Fury goalie Clayton Pool. Sam Miller made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal 15:05 into the first, then Adam Edinger struck 26 seconds later as Bloomington took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission.

The Prairie Thunder struck four times in the second, including three on the power play, to put the game out of reach for Muskegon. The Fury scored once with 2:55 left in the period off the stick of David Segal, his fifth of the year. Justin Rohr and Dan Riedel assisted on the goal.

Bloomington added another power play goal in the third before Billy Collins connected on his 29th of the year with 4:56 left to make it 8-2. Justin Rohr assisted on the goal.

The Fury fall to 31-28-3-2 on the year, good for 67 points. With Flint's victory over Kalamazoo, the Fury fall back into fourth place in the IHL. Muskegon returns to the ice Saturday night at home against Port Huron.
