
FSL Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League named today the Player and Pitcher of the week for the period June 15 - June 24, 2012.
The Player of the week was Bradenton Marauders Infielder Kirk Singer. In five games he collected nine hits in 19 plate appearances for a .474 batting average. He had two homeruns, eight RBI's, and scored three runs. His on base percentage was .545 and slugging average was .789. This is Kirk's second year of professional baseball and he resides in Seal Beach, CA.
The Pitcher of the week was Daytona Cubs Left-hander Frank Del Valle. He started one game and recorded a win. His ERA was 0.00. In six innings pitched he allowed no hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out 11 batters. This is Frank's second year of professional baseball and he was born in Santo Domingo, DR.
