Vermont Frost Heaves News Release
South Burlington, VT - With the PBL playoffs looming, the Vermont Frost Heaves will embark on their final road trip of the regular season.
On Thursday, the Frost Heaves travel to Manchester for their final Champlain Cup game against the Millrats. After last week's victory in Vermont, you can be assured Manchester will be waiting. On Friday, the Frost Heaves will travel to Quebec City for their final regular season game against the Kebs on Saturday at Le Pavilion de la Juenesse. Game time is 7:30 in Quebec City. On Sunday, The Frost Heaves and Kebs will square off in the final Champlain Cup game of the season at 2:00 p.m. Vermont currently leads the Champlain Cup standings and Quebec is a close second.
With a chance to still host the wild card game in Vermont, Saturday's game is crucial to help keep Frost Heaves hopes alive of playing Wilmington in Vermont. Wilmington has 2 games left in Detroit this weekend and they need to win one of those games to pretty much assure themselves of hosting that Wild Card game. If Wilmington loses both games in Detroit, and Vermont wins Saturday night in Quebec, the Wild Card game will be played in Barre on April 1, 2009. If Wilmington does win one or both games, the Wild Card game will be in Wilmington, NC on April 1, 2009.
If Vermont ends up hosting the Wild Card game, tickets will go on sale to existing Season Ticket Holders on Monday March 30, 2009. Time and location is still to be determined, but all Season Ticket Holders will be given the opportunity to purchase their existing tickets first. On Tuesday, March 31, tickets will go on sale to the General Public.
If by chance Vermont moves on to the semi-final round of the playoffs, as of this writing the first game of that series will be in Barre on Friday, April 3, 2009. That is subject to change without notice. The same ticket process will be employed for that game if it happens - One day for Season Ticket holders, next day to the General Public.
