(March 25, 2009 Manchester, NH): The Manchester Millrats host the Vermont Frost Heaves this Thursday night at 7:00 pm at Southern New Hampshire University in the final game of the Champlain Cup Series. This game will be the final pre-playoff home game for the Atlantic Division champion Millrats.

The Millrats completed their inaugural season in the Premier Basketball League with a 16-4 record and earned an automatic berth to the PBL Playoffs.

The Millrats will likely host the first game of the playoffs against the defending PBL Champion Rochester Razorsharks on Thursday April 2nd. The Razorsharks are led by Keith Friel, a former star player at Oyster River High School in Durham, NH.

Vermont defeated Manchester 119-87 last Thursday in Barre, VT but the Millrats will be looking for payback this week.

"It's a pre-playoff battle, each team is trying to head into the playoffs on a winning note, and to set a tone," stated Millrats Head Coach Rob Spon.

The Millrats took some time for recreation this week by taking a trip west to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
