Kingston Frontenacs News Release
Kingston-The Kingston Frontenacs have announced changes the Hockey Operations of the hockey club. General Manager Doug Gilmour has promoted Assistant Coach Darren Keily to the role of Director of Hockey Operations and will continue in his role as Assistant General Manager, and has hired Jeff Reid as Assistant Coach.
"I'm excited to have Darren join me in this expanded role," said Gilmour. "Darren and I have worked hard to expand our Hockey Operations and now that Todd Gill has two full years of OHL head coaching experience, we felt the timing was right to move forward with our plan."
Jeff Reid comes to the Kingston Frontenacs with an extensive background coaching in junior hockey. He was the Head Coach of the Jr. B Guelph Hurricanes in the GOJHL and Head Coach of the Jr. C Walkerton Hawkes, and was an Assistant Coach with Team Ontario in the U17 World Championship program in 2010 and 2011. He has OHL coaching experience with the Owen Sound Attack from 2007 to 2010. He was a Scout with the Frontenacs in 2010-11.
"We are very happy to be able to have Jeff join us as Assistant Coach," said Gilmour. "The fact that Jeff is well known by our Hockey Operations staff, combined with his experience, was a huge factor is allowing us bringing him onto our team."
