Corvallis Knights News Release
As we near Thanksgiving, we would like to take this opportunity to share how grateful we are to have you as part of our Knights family. We do not take for granted how fortunate we are to operate in such a wonderful community, have such amazing partners and play at such an extraordinary facility like OSU's Goss Stadium. We are so thankful.
That's not even mentioning the gratitude we have for our players, coaches, staff, alums, host families and partner schools. We've been hitting on all cylinders the past couple years; winning back-to-back WCL titles, earning Corvallis Business of the Year honors, breaking team attendance marks and further developing coaches, players and students in record numbers. It's been a lot of fun. And it starts with you, supporting the team like you do.
I get to meet lots of people out in the community and at Goss Stadium, and I can't express enough how much I appreciate each and every one of our fans and partners and their commitment to the Knights. It is heart-warming to hear you talk glowingly about the hometown team and share your memorable experiences. It keeps us energized and wanting to do more.
We are a driven bunch here at the Knights, striving to get better each season. We hope we are doing just that, in terms of delivering enhanced Goss Stadium experiences, further connecting consumers with our partner brands, getting more involved in the community and accelerating the development of our student-athletes and interns.
While the last two summers have been magical, we're not resting on our laurels here at the Knights worldwide headquarters. We're grinding like we are down three runs in the bottom of the ninth.
I can report we've signed some outstanding players - including returning Beavers Zak Taylor and Elliot Willy - and bolstered our coaching staff this off-season. Our on-field success in recent years has been built on pitching depth, excellent defense, aggressive base running, timely hitting and best-of-breed coaching. That has been our formula. We think coach Knight's recruits will bring that and more; and by adding WCL legendary coach Ed Knaggs to go with assistants Youngin Yoon and Kellen Camus, we envision our summer program reaching unparalleled heights as far as skill development goes.
In addition, Holly Jones, Korey Kozaryn and I are working hard on next season's promotional schedule; and on other new things to hopefully make Goss Stadium an even a cooler place to hang out during the summer while making sure we're mom's #1 pick for affordable family entertainment June through August.
To close, we deeply appreciate your loyalty. We are particularly grateful to those of you who took the time recently to share your thoughts in our fan and partner surveys. It really helps with our planning.
We will continue to keep you informed of off-season developments. And as always, we welcome your thoughts. Please don't hesitate to call or email me with any suggestions on how we can make your Knights experience even better.
Go Knights! And Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Sincerely,
Bre Miller
