Friday's Hogs game to be broadcast on WXRX-FM 104.9

Rockford, Ill.- This Friday's Rockford IceHogs United Hockey League game against the Missouri River Otters will be broadcast live on WXRX-FM 104.9, a Maverick Media station. The move was made to accommodate an Illinois High School Association football playoff game on the IceHogs flagship radio station WNTA-AM 1330.

WXRX's morning show host Jim Stone will be alongside IceHogs play-by-play announcer Mike Peck, providing color commentary. Stone and his morning show partner Double T serve as the IceHogs in game emcees at the Rockford MetroCentre. The morning show runs from 5:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m., Monday-Friday.

The broadcast Friday will get underway with the IceHogs Pre Game Show at 6:45 p.m. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and the broadcast will conclude with the 10th Inning Bar and Grill Post Game Show and Call-In Show.

The Hogs will continue their 2005-06 regular season schedule on Saturday night back on WNTA. Friday's game will still be simulcast through the B2 Network on the IceHogs Web site, icehogs.com. Fans can watch the IceHogs for just $6 or listen to the game for free on the Hogs Web site.

Next Home Game: Friday, October 28 vs. Missouri River Otters. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and River Otters meet for the second time in the young season. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive IceHogs Poster #1 from Medicine Man, Pepsi and Johnson Press. Also, the Hogs will host their annual costume contest for kids and adults.
