Spokane Shock News Release
Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that LB Steven Friday has been placed on Other League Exempt after he signed a contract with the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos.
Friday, who signed with the Shock on October 14th, will enter his rookie season in the CFL in 2012. After a decorated career at Virginia Tech, Friday was in training camp with the Houston Texans where he recorded 1.5 sacks in his first professional game.
Spokane has placed two players on the exempt list. Last week, Spokane placed DL Ayanga Okpokowuruk on Other League Exempt after he signed with the NFL's Cleveland Browns.
The Shock will open the 2012 season on Monday, March 12th hosting the Iowa Barnstormers at 7 PM. For 2012 ticket information, contact the Shock Ticket Department at 509 242 7462 ext 1.
