Frichter, Henschel Named to Baseball America's All-Indy Team

San Angelo, Texas--- The San Angelo Colts are proud to announce that two Colts players, Bryan Frichter and Brian Henschel, have been voted to the Baseball America All-Independent League Team.

2008 rookie of the year, Bryan Frichter, who hit a league best .385 this season, was named Most Valuable Player for his 2009 campaign. Frichter also led the Colts in hits (100) and steals (29). Brian Henschel made his mark standing atop the league in wins(11), innings pitched(121.2), Earned Run Average(2.29), complete games(6), and complete game shutouts(3). Frichter and Henschel are the only players from the United League named to the All-Independent League team.

Colts General Manager Mike Babcock is ecstatic about two of San Angelo's very own recognized in Baseball America. "It's a tremendous honor to have two Colts players receiving national recognition. The fact that Frichter and Henschel made the All-Independent team just shows the level of baseball that is played in San Angelo."
