FRESNO, Calif. - A late goal was all that separated Fresno FC and Orange County SC, as the Foxes fell 1-0 at Chukchansi Park.

Los Zorros created the most chances in the opening 45 minutes, and nearly took the lead just past the 30-minute mark but Bradley Kamdem Fewo's shot from the right side took a deflection to miss just wide of the right post.

It was with sixth minutes remaining in the game when the visitors got their break when Thomas Enevoldsen found Noah Powder behind the defense to move Orange County SC to 17W-7L-6D. Fresno FC suffered its first home loss in nearly three months as Los Zorros move to 8W-11L-11D on the season. With the win, Orange County regains a hold on first place in the Western Conference standings, while Fresno FC moves to 12th in the standings, 10 points out of eighth.

Trailing, Fresno FC had two solid chances to level the scoreline, nearly finding the equalizer just one minute later when Juan Pablo Caffa's left-footed shot missed high of the target. At the 90th, Fresno FC won a corner but Pedro Ribeiro's header near the penalty spot missed left of the post.

In the first half, Los Zorros outshot Orange County SC 7-1, but were stymied by the visitors' backline which blocked five of those opportunities. Fresno FC had another strong chance at the 40th minute when Christian Chaney was fouled along the left wing, but Ribeiro was unable to get full power behind his header from Caffa's service.

Fresno FC remains at home, hosting Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday, September 22nd at Chukchansi Park. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT. Tickets for the match are available for purchase
