
Frenzy Wins Summer Pro League Opener

Cape Cod Frenzy News Release
Boston, MA. The ABA Cape Cod Frenzy won the opening game in the 2006 "Mass Arts" Premier Pro Exposure league by defeating Team Winners 143-120. The Frenzy used a decided size advantage to build a double digit lead in the second quarter. They expanded the lead to 31 ponts in the 3rd quarter before Team Winners stated a spirited comeback, eventually getting to within 13 points. In the fourth quarter however, the Frenzy got back to pounding their opponents in the post to win going away.
The Frenzy frontline dominated the contest throughout. 6'8 forward Scott Hazelton led the Frenzy with 35 points on 16 of 27 shooting. 6'10 centers Ify Anosike and Modibo Diarra combined for 26 points, 27 rebounds and 7 blocks. And 6'6 forward Rich Pittman scored 28 points, hauled down 7 rebounds and had 8 asissts.
Point guard Matt Alosa orchestrated the offense contributing 17 points and 6 assists while off guard Robert Mitchell chipped in 21 points. Team Winners was led by guards Orel Francis and Waking Nichols. The Cape Cod Frenzy was coached by Angel Robinson Jr. Their next opponent is "Go Get It Entertainment" on Monday night at 630pm.
