Frenzy brings smiles to kids everywhere

The smiles are everywhere. You can see the smiles in the stands. Smiles are partnered with looks of sheer determination as they shoot baskets on the court at halftime. The smiles are accompanied by wide-eyed excitement as they gather for their favorite player's autograph following the game. The American Basketball Association's Boston Frenzy has a way of making sure that children have fun. The Frenzy are committed to bringing their brand of high flying, exciting professional basketball to the area at a family friendly, reasonable price.

"They're having a blast," said Bob Leavenworth, Director of the Bourne Swish Club Youth Basketball Program. "They were out at halftime playing an exhibition game and some Frenzy players actually came up and introduced themselves and asked the children for their autographs." Leavenworth came with a group of 530 people to the Boston Frenzy-Harlem Revs game in January of 2004. The Bourne Swish Club was one of the lucky groups to sign up for the popular Frenzy Fundraiser during the 2004-2005 season. The Boston Frenzy Fundraiser is designed to return 50% of the total ticket proceeds purchased by members of the organization, back to the organization. Whether you buy the tickets yourself, sell them to friends and family, or get a local business to sponsor your event, the Frenzy will give you back 50% of the total sales at a halftime ceremony covered by the local press. Leavenworth continued, "This is their first time ever coming to a game, so it's a new experience for them. They're having a great time."

Frenzy General Manager Dan Savage added " To have a group of children and their families come out and support us in our first year would be enough......but to give back 50% of the ticket proceeds makes it much more rewarding."

The Frenzy are offering invitations to reserve spots for the 2005-06 home games to over 18 deserving groups. If your group or organization is interested please do not hesitate, these spots will be reserved quickly. Please contact The Boston Frenzy at www.bostonfrenzy.com with inquiries.
