"We felt it was important for the team to be coached by local people with a broad base of experience in basketball," stated Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy. "Mr. Clarke's experience at the school level as well as the NBA was as important to us as his ties to the community in decided to name him Head Coach."

Keith Clarke's basketball experience goes back to his playing days at North Carolina A&T University from 1962-1966. He also played semi pro ball for the "Boston Bruins" team from 72-75 and served as Head Coach for his last season. In 1975, he was hired by the Golden State Warriors as the team psychologist. Clarke was voted "Coach of the Year" by his peers in the Old Colony League as well as being named "Coach of the Year" by the Cape Cod Times newspaper.

Clarke will be joined on the bench this season by Boston Frenzy assistant coach, Angel Robinson Jr. Robinson, who also serves as the Assistant Recreation Director for the Town of Wellfleet, was a former overseas player and All Star in 1990 in Oslo, Norway where his team (Hoybraten) was undefeated, winning the Norwegian championship.
