Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release
GRAND CHUTE, WI - Time Warner Cable has executed their right to opt out of the final three years of a 10-year naming rights agreement with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The decision is effective immediately.
"We appreciate the partnership - a partnership which dates back well over a decade - we have had with Time Warner Cable," said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. "We believe the field naming rights to Fox Cities Stadium provides a great opportunity and we fully anticipate a new field naming rights partnership in place by early 2014."
Fox Cities Stadium opened in 1995 as a replacement for Goodland Field, the home of Appleton Professional Baseball from 1958 through 1994. The park became known as Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium in 2007. The Timber Rattlers undertook a major renovation of the stadium after the 2012 season and the $6.2 million project was completed before the start of the 2013 season.
The 2014 season will be the 20th anniversary season for the Timber Rattlers, the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Wisconsin opens next season at home on Thursday, April 3 at 6:35pm against the Peoria Chiefs.
The Fox Cities Stadium box office is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Ticket packages are available now in person, over the phone at (800) WI-TIMBER or (920) 733-4152, or online through timberrattlers.com. Individual tickets for the 2014 Timber Rattlers season go on sale Saturday, March 1 at 10:00 am.
