Fourteen Former BayHawks on NBA Training Camp Rosters

Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, October 2 - As NBA Training Camps open, teams are chock-full of players who hope to achieve their ultimate goal of making an NBA roster. Fourteen such players on NBA Training Camp rosters have spent time in their careers playing for the Erie BayHawks in the NBA Development League.
Half of the 14 former BayHawks came to Erie as assignment players by NBA affiliate teams. Danny Green (San Antonio), Christian Eyenga (Orlando), Darnell Jackson (Utah), and Samardo Samuels (Cleveland) were all assigned to Erie by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jeremy Lin (Houston) and Jerome Jordan (Memphis) were assigned by the New York Knicks and Ed Davis (Toronto) was assigned by the Toronto Raptors.
The remaining seven players all competed in Erie under NBA D-League contracts. Those players include Jeff Adrien (Charlotte), Blake Ahearn (Indiana), Cory Higgins (Charlotte), Ivan Johnson (Atlanta), D.J. Kennedy (Memphis), Donald Sloan (Cleveland) and Garrett Temple (Miami).
Members of last season's BayHawks team include Higgins, Jordan, Sloan, Kennedy and Lin, who recorded a triple-double in his lone performance in an Erie uniform. Kennedy, a St. John's product, had a strong rookie season for Erie, averaging 15.7 points and 7.9 rebounds in 44 contests. Higgins, Jordan and Sloan combined to play in 19 games for the BayHawks.
The BayHawks begin the season on Friday, November 23, at Fort Wayne against the Mad Ants and play their first home game on Saturday, December 1, at 7 p.m. versus the Canton Charge.
