
Four Point Weekend Lands Bulls Back in Playoffs

AMARILLO, TX - For the fourth straight year the Amarillo Bulls are headed to the North American Hockey League's Robertson Cup Playoffs. The Bulls secured their birth on home ice collecting two wins versus the Lone Star Brahmas 9-2 on Friday and 4-0 on Saturday.
The victories were the Bulls 33rd and 34th of the season and it kept them seven points head of the Topeka RoadRunners in the South Division. Despite having two games in hand, the Bulls still trail the Fairbanks Ice Dogs by four points for first overall in the North American Hockey League.
It's back to the road this weekend for the Bulls with their final visit to Corpus Christi to face the Ice Rays.
STATS OF THE WEEKEND:
PACKED HOUSE ON SATURDAY: The Amarillo Bulls welcomed their largest regular season crowd in team history as over 4,000 fans turned out to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The fans were not disappointed as the Bulls won the game 4-0.
GOALTENDING BY THE NUMBERS: Collin Delia notched his seventh shutout of the season on Saturday night which ranks second in the North American Hockey League. Delia also ranks third in save percentage at 9:43, while his goals against average is also third at 1.44.
JERSEY AUCTION A BIG HIT: The Amarillo Bulls wore special purple jerseys on Saturday in support of the Texas Panhandle Pet Savers. An auction after the game was a big hit as the Bulls and their fans raised $23,600.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE:
SATURDAY, FEB. 22 AND SUNDAY, FEB. 23 @ CORPUS CHRISTI ICE RAYS, 7 PM, 3 PM: It's the final trip for the Amarillo Bulls to South Texas to face the Corpus Christi IceRays. The Bulls are unbeaten 6-0-0 versus the IceRays this season.

NEXT @ HOME: The Amarillo Bulls return to home ice on Friday, Mar. 7 and Saturday Mar. 8 at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The arch rival Topeka RoadRunners will be the opposition that weekend.

WEEKEND REWIND:
AMARILLO BULLS 9 - LONE STAR BRAHMAS 2: Tyler Gernhofer scored twice in 17 seconds and the Amarillo Bulls fired five goals on 11 first period shots en route to a 9-2 drubbing of the Lone Star Brahmas. Other marksmen for the Bulls were Cody Gylling, Brendan Vetter, Eric Purcell, Tim Moore, Mitchell McPherson, Kyle Gattelaro and Roman Ammirato. Brendan McGuire and Mike Davis each had two helpers, while several players had multi-point games. Goaltender Paul Berrafato posted the win in goal.
AMARILLO BULLS 4 - LONE STAR BRAHMAS 0: Mike Davis scored twice and Collin Delia stopped all 19 shots he faced as the Bulls blanked the Brahmas. Brady Ferguson and Eric Purcell added single goals for the Bulls. Ferguson also had an assist in the contest, and Brett Szajner notched two.
