
Four '06 R-Braves to play in Caribbean Series

RICHMOND, VA- Four members of the 2006 Richmond Braves will play in the 2007 Caribbean Series starting Friday. Martin Prado, Gregor Blanco, Tony Pena, and Cesar Crespo helped lead their winter clubs to league championships.
Prado and Blanco are teammates with los Tigres de Aragua. They helped lead Aragua past Magallanes to win the Venezuelan League title. Pena helped Aguilas de Cibaenas to the Dominican League crown over Licey. Crespo helped los Gigantes de Carolina to their second straight Puerto Rican title over Arecibo.
Those three league champions will be joined by Mexican Pacific League champion Hermosillo in Carolina, Puerto Rico starting Friday. The Caribbean Series can be followed on-line at http://www.seriedelcaribe2007.com.
