Forward Charles Joly Named USL Player of the Week
July 21, 2015 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - FC Montreal forward Charles Joly has been named USL Player of the Week after his great performance in a 5-2 win against Saint Louis FC, last Wednesday, on the synthetic field at Stade Saputo.
In only his second start this season, the 19 year-old forward scored a hat trick in the first half of the game, including the game-winning goal.
Joly missed the start the season due to a knee injury which occurred in January. He played his first USL game on June 20, coming off the bench in the 83rd minute against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Defender Janouk Charbonneau was also named on the USL Team of the Week for his contribution in the same game.
FC Montreal faces Toronto FC II Tuesday at 8pm, at the Ontario Soccer Centre. The game will be available via live web stream at www.impactmontreal.com/fcmontreal.
