SETTING THE STAGE: The Brahmas will play their second consecutive game tonight against the Indianapolis Ice at the Pepsi Coliseum...Last night, the Ice rallied from a 4-2 early third period deficit to edge the Brahmas 5-4 in overtime on d-man Bernie John's game winning goal...Forward Jared Dumba scored two goals in the third period to force the overtime...This will be the fifth of seven meetings this season between Fort Worth and Indy...Three of our the four previous games played between the clubs this year have been decided in overtime or a shootout...Fort Worth is 6-4-6 all time against Indianapolis.
FORT WORTH NOTES: Fort Worth is winless in their last three games following last night's 5-4 overtime loss to the Ice...In each of those games, the Brahmas held a second period lead...Overall, Fort Worth is 8-0-3 when leading after two periods of play this season...Right wing Joey Bastien had a four point night for the Brahmas with two goals and two assists...Bastien now has an outstanding 6 goals and 4 assists in his last five games played...Center Aaron Davis picked up an assist in the game, pulling him to within two points of left wing Chad Woollard for the Brahmas team lead in points...D-men Scott McCallum and Stefan Katalina made their Brahmas debuts last night in the loss to the Ice.
INDIANAPOLIS NOTES: The come from behind win last night for the Ice was huge, as they moved into a tie with the Wichita Thunder for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Northern Conference...CHL All Star Game MVP Jason Baird had two goals last night for Indy, giving him nine points (3G/6A) in his last five games played...Baird leads the Ice in points with 60 (21G/39A) and penalty minutes...D-man Bernie John leads all CHL blueliners in points with 54 (12G/42A)...Right wing Jared Dumba has 5 goals this season against the Brahmas.
