Southaven, MS-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 have been assigned defensive specialist Roderick Jefferson by the league office.
Jefferson played in five games with the Xplorers rival, the Arkansas Twisters in 2004. In those five games Jefferson accumulated 10 total tackles, defended six passes, and also had two receptions for 25 yards and one touchdown.
"Roderick Jefferson is a guy that has af2 experience," stated Xplorers Head Coach Danton Barto. "We look for him to compete for a starting job at the defensive specialist position."
Jefferson attended Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. In his final three seasons with the Eagles, he compiled 122 total tackles, 27 defended passes, three interceptions, and recovered a fumble.
