November 29, 2012 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) - Marion Blue Racers News Release

The Marion Blue Racers, Central Ohio's Only Professional Football Team, is proud to announce the signing of former St Louis Ram, 6'2" 295lb Defensive Lineman, Claude Wroten. Wroten, a former First-team All-SEC LSU Tiger, was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

"There aren't many players who I'd declare their signing as an off season win, but Wroten is a big off season win for us", Director of Football Operations, Ryan Sawyer briefly stated. "This is a guy who was slated to be a first round draft pick, if not for unfortunate pre-draft circumstances. We here in Marion are excited that Wroten has chosen us as his next step to getting back to the NFL."

"I want to thank Mr. Coleman for giving me the opportunity to display my talents for the Blue Racers. My goal is to come into camp in great shape and to chalk up alot of H.O.Q.'s, "hits on quarterback", every single game". Wroten stated.Wroten will join an already impressive Blue Racer Team that includes former major college award winners, NFL players and Indoor MVPs.

Uniquely, Wroten will get a chance to play alongside his 6'-5" 315 lb. brother Jarvis Edmonds who plays OL/DL. Edmonds played for the Lakeland Raiders in 2012 but decided to take his talents north for the upcoming season.

"The signings of both Wroten and Edmonds significantly improves our roster and will provide a sibling rivalry in practice. I can only imagine the collisions and heightened competition that is about to take place in training camp". CEO/GM LaMonte Coleman expressed.
