Former Sidekick Ricardinho to Join Outlaws This Weekend

12/3/2009 - NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - With veterans Anthony Jama, Chuck Salas, and Kellan Zindel unavailable for this weekend's game, the Texas Outlaws will place Ricardinho in the line-up for the game.
Texas hosts St. Louis Illusion for first of 3 matchups this season
The Outlaws will host a familiar guest Sunday, 6 December, at TCG Arena as the St. Louis Illusion make a return trip to rekindle the most intense divisional rivalry of the 2008-09 PASL season. The teams split 4 games last year, with the Outlaws ruining the Illusion's perfect 6-0 home record, handing them their first loss at The Game Arena late last season. Though Texas moved to the Western Division for this season, the teams will face each other again only 5 days later in St. Louis, then a third time in February.
We are excited to have Ricardinho in the line-up. His contractual obligations to the Philadelphia Kixx do not prevent him from joining the Outlaws during the PASL season. "We are excited to have Ricardinho on the field. He plays in our men's leagues year round with the other Outlaws players and there is a great camaraderie between the players. He lives in Dallas and trains with us on occasion. This speaks volumes to what our organization and the PASL has been working towards this season," commented General Manager Marco Juarez. Ricardinho played alongside Shaun David with the Dallas Sidekicks. He had 12 goals and 18 assists in the 2003-2004 season.
The Outlaws are looking to draw a full house of fans for Sunday's game, following up on a great showing for their home opener two weeks ago. As a special giveaway this Sunday, players will be throwing numbered stress balls instead of the traditional gold balls. At the end of the game, a number will be drawn and a fan will receive a new PASL soccer ball signed by the entire team.
Doors open at 12:30 pm for the 1:00 pm kickoff - fans should plan to arrive early to get the best seats. Individual tickets are $18 at the gate, but groups of 4 or more can enter for $12 each. Larger groups must call 817-846-8843 for further discounts. After the game, players from both teams will be relaxing at Rack Daddy's Sports Bar and Grill, only 2 miles from TCG Arena at 8236 Bedford Euless Road, just off Highway 183 on the Bedford-Euless exit.
