
Former Redskin, Steeler Get Baltimore Mariners Contracts

BALTIMORE, MD (October 11, 2009) - A busy week of private and public workouts produced a number of signings for the Baltimore Mariners including two players with NFL experience. Yesterday the Mariners conducted an open tryout which resulted in the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) club offering training camp invites to five players.
Earlier in the week the indoor football team, which calls 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore home, conducted private workouts, which resulted in three player contracts. Two of the players have NFL experience. One was recently released by the Washington Redskins; the other spent the 2008 preseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers and gathered arena football experience in 2009.
The team will release more info on the player signings in the upcoming weeks.
