Stockton Ports News Release
Former Port Lawrence Butler made his major league debut last Friday night on August 11th for the Oakland A's.
Butler would go 0-4 on the night against the Washington Nationals but despite going hitless, he was joyful in making his debut just two seasons after appearing in Stockton.
Butler has enjoyed a star-studded season between Double-A Midland and Triple-A Las Vegas with a .284 average, 15 home runs, and 70 RBIs in 89 games.
He is now the fifth Port from the 2021 season to make his major league debut and the seventh overall this season.
