Former Outlaws Lead Team USA at World Tournament

Mason City (IA) Former North Iowa Outlaws' Peter Majkozak and Daryl Dee were each contributors to Team USA's best finish ever at the World University Games in Harbin, China this past week. Team USA finished the tournament with a 3-2-0 record good enough for seventh place, the program's best since rejoining the tournament in 2001.

Majkozak finished with one goal, while Dee was held without a point in the tournament's five games.

The team is comprised of the top non-varsity collegiate hockey talent in the country and played against other college-aged players from around the world as part of the international competition. Majkozak is a part of the Iowa State program and Dee plays for the University of Oklahoma.

Both were members of the Outlaws' inaugural season in 2005-2006.

The North Iowa Outlaws Hockey Club is in its fourth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 33nd year of operation. For more information, visit northiowaoutlaws.com or call (641) 424-5468.
