Mohegan Wolves News Release
NEW LONDON, Conn. (December 3, 2002) â The arenafootball2 league office announced today that defensive specialist Allistair Sebastien has been assigned to the Mohegan Wolves.
Sebastien, a former St. John's standout and former New Haven Ninja (af2), becomes the first player assigned to the Wolves for the 2003 season. Wolves Head Coach Mark Stoute said the 6-0, 200-pound defender will be at camp with Mohegan in March hoping to earn a place on the Wolves' 21-man roster.
"Allistair is a big, physical defender who came on strong down the stretch for the Ninjas last year," Coach Stoute said. "We're very happy to add such a quality player and quality person to the organization."
In his rookie season of 2002 with the Ninjas, Sebastien recorded four interceptions in just seven games, which tied him for the third highest total on the team. He also ranked sixth in tackles with 33.5 overall.
As a senior at St. John's in 2001, Sebastien earned Don Hansen's Football Gazette Honorable Mention All-America honors as well as First Team All-Northeast Conference honors. Overall, the Roosevelt, NY, native totaled 107.5 tackles and eight interceptions during his college career with the Red Storm.
