
Former NFL Talent Among New Additions to Yard Dawgz Roster

OKLAHOMA CITY- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz have been assigned several players by the af2 league office, including former Denver Bronco Romar Crenshaw.
WR/DB Crenshaw (6'0, 185) spent 2004-2005 on the practice squad for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League and was with the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos during their 2006 training camp.
Prior to joining the professional ranks, Crenshaw had an outstanding career for the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Savage Storm (2000-2003). While at SOSU, Crenshaw became the school's all-time leading receiver (3,133 yards) was a finalist for the prestigious Harlon Hill Trophy, an award given annually to the top player in Division II. Crenshaw is known as one of the most accomplished receivers in Lone Star Conference (LSC) history and was chosen as one of the conference's top 75 players of all-time. He holds LSC records for receiving yards per game (92.1), receiving yards per catch (23.2), receiving TDs (33), all-purpose yards in a single game (350), and was the 2001 scoring leader with 114 points.
QB Joe Phears (6'2, 195) was with the Yard Dawgz during their 2004 inaugural season. He spent time with the Tulsa Talons and Wichita Stealth and got his start in arena football with the Oklahoma Wranglers in 2001. Phears is a former Oklahoma State Cowboy and threw for 4,757 yards while attending Pasadena City College.
Former Yard Dawgz WR/DB, B.J. Barre (6'2, 210), has recently signed with the New Orleans VooDoo of the AFL. Barre was instrumental in the Columbus Destroyers road to the ArenaBowl Championship in 2007.
