North Shore Navigators News Release

Lynn, Mass - Earlier this week D3baseball.com announced its 2014 preseason All-America team. Representing the Navigators on the team are second baseman Eddie Reese and outfielder Tim Hendricks. Reese was selected to the All-American first team while Hendricks made the team as a honorable mention

Eddie Reese, from the College of Wooster, spent last season with the North Shore Navigators and showed his versatility by playing multiple infield positions. Last year with the Fighting Scots, Reese batted .372 with 50 runs scored and 55 RBIs in 45 games. His 55 RBIs led the time while his batting average and runs scored ranked second. Perhaps Reese's best moment with the Navs came in a 5-4 win against the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide when he scored the game-winning run.

Hendricks is entering his junior year at Benedictine University and has spent the past two summers with the North Shore Navigator. Hendricks, who many consider a fan favorite, had two strong seasons with the Navigators as he was named Player of the Year in both seasons. Hendricks was also a two time FCBL All Star while playing his summer baseball in Lynn. This past season he batted .323 with 24 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Given this year's success with the club, it should be no surprise that he is getting some national attention. In his sophomore year with the Benedictine Eagles, Hendricks hit .422 with 55 runs scored and 30 RBIs in 44 games. He led the team in batting average, runs scored, slugging percentage and on base percentage.

"I am excited for both Tim and Eddie," said head coach Jon Cahill "They both have bright futures and I am glad the Navigators got to be a part of it."
