
Former IceGator Riley Gill Named ECHL Playoffs MVP

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - Riley Gill, who earned SPHL Goaltender of the Year honors as a member of the Louisiana IceGators, was named Most Valuable Player of ECHL Kelly Cup Championship Saturday as the Reading Royals defeated Stockton 6-0, winning the series in five games.
Gill went 13-4 in the playoffs, finishing second among goaltenders with a 1.91 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. His four shutouts tied for the second most in a single postseason in ECHL history, while his two shutouts in the Kelly Cup Finals tied for the most in a Finals series.
Gill tied for the SPHL lead in wins (25) and set a new SPHL record with five shutouts as he helped lead Louisiana to a 20-point improvement from last season.
