Former Icedigger announcer gets D-1 post

Wayne State University Director of Athletics Rob Fournier announced today that 11 Warrior men's hockey games will be aired on WDTK Radio (1400 AM) during the upcoming season.

In addition, WSU announces the hiring of Andy Sanzotta to serve as the play-by-play announcer. Sanzotta was the play-by-play announcer for the Toledo Icediggers Junior A team in 2004-05 and is currently an announcer for Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) in Northwest Ohio. "I know that Wayne State University is on its way to becoming a premier program in college hockey and I feel very fortunate. I am very excited about being chosen to be a part of that process as well," commented Sanzotta.

A total of 16 road contests can be heard through the Internet at either wdtkam.com or teamline.cc/teampages. teamcode=4820. The current schedule is listed below along with broadcast information. Additional games may be added at a later date. The pre-game show will begin 15 minutes before face-off.
