Alabama Slammers News Release

PELHAM, Ala. – The Alabama Slammers of the World Hockey Association 2, announced today that team officials would be holding a media conference on Tuesday to introduce former Birmingham Bulls favorite, Frank Beaton as the franchises Assistant Coach.

A native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Beaton played for the original Birmingham Bulls of the World Hockey Association in the late 70's, where his physical brand of play won over the hearts of many Birmingham sports fans while establishing Birmingham as a legitimate professional hockey market.

The Slammers open their regular season at the Pelham Civic Complex this Friday and Saturday, November 7th and 8th, when they host the Jacksonville Barracudas. Game time each night is 7:05pm.
