Former Bobcats now Greyhounds

WHEELING, WV – The Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the United Indoor Football Association are proud to announce the signing of two former Ohio University Bobcats, David "Bop" White and Andre Parker.

White (6-1, 190) is one of the best defensive backs ever to don the green and white for the Ohio Bobcats. In all four years at the school, he led the team in interceptions, including five as a true freshman and six during his senior stint at OU. White finished up in Athens with 166 career tackles, 17 interceptions (2nd all-time in school history), and 34 passes broken up, a category he was led the team in during his freshman and junior seasons.

Bop, a Cincinnati native, was named as an All-MAC Second Team selection his senior season, finishing tied for 2nd in the Mid American Conference with his six INTs. Two of those interceptions came against Big East power Pittsburgh on August 31st of 2002. Bop's career accolades garnered him Ohio University's best player of 2002 by collegefootballnews.com.

Parker (6-1, 286) manned the defensive end and nose guard positions during his tenure at OU. Andre earned four letters for the Bobcats and was named the best pro prospect on the entire team for the 2003 season by collegefootballnews.com.

Parker, who is also a Cincinnati native, collected 92 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 5 quarterback hurries at the Athens, Ohio-based campus. His 8 tackles for loss during the 2003 season tied him for third place on the team in '03.

Both players reside in Athens, Ohio.
