Louisville Fire News Release
Louisville, KY-The Louisville Fire Arena Football team was assigned Dominic Ross (6'0, 200, University of Cincinnati).
Ross was an amazing talent and presence on the Bearcat squad. In 2006, he was an All-Big East team selection leading the Bearcats with four interceptions and ranked second on the team with 57 tackles. In two games, during the 2006 season, against No. 1 Ohio State University and No. 7 University of Louisville, Ross had 18 total tackles.
During his senior season, Ross was named co-captain of the Bearcats. He was also awarded the Jim Kelly Coaches Spirit Award which is given to the player that shows the most leadership on and off of the field.
"Dominic [Ross] is a rare mix of size and speed," replied Head Coach Tommy Johnson when asked about Ross. "Even though he played strong safety in college he has the skill to convert to a cover man. He will be able to bring big game experience to the team this season."
The Louisville Fire will kickoff the 2008 season against the Iowa Barnstormers on March 29. Season tickets for the 2008 Fire season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 502.368.0009. Season ticket packages start at $72.
