Dayton Silverbacks News Release

(Troy, OH) The Miami Valley Silverbacks professional indoor football team has added former University of Cincinnati Wide Receiver George Murray to their 2007 roster.

Murray (6'2', 205) was a standout for the Bearcats from 2001 to 2004. He played in eight out of twelve games as a true freshman, played in all twelve games as a sophomore, and started every game in both his junior and senior seasons.

"George will be a very nice addition to our offense," stated Silverbacks General Manager and Head Coach Matthew King. "He is extremely athletic, quick, and physical. I believe that he will be a true weapon for us, and he is a perfect fit with our other receivers."

Murray spent the 2005 season with the Cincinnati Marshals (NIFL). Starting in every game for the Marshals, Murray played both Wide Receiver and Quarterback. He finished the season with 26 total touchdowns (11 receiving, 9 passing, and 6 rushing). He tallied 685 receiving yards, 425 passing yards, and 275 on the ground.

The Silverbacks, a member of the Continental Indoor Football League, are gearing up for their 2007 home opener on March 30th. Silverbacks' season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Hobart Arena, or at (937) 718-7044. Season ticket information is available on the Silverbacks website at www.silverbacksfootball.com.
