Chicago Rush News Release

Former Chicago Bears guard Kurt Becker will sign autographs Saturday night at the Chicago Rush game against the Milwaukee Iron, the Rush announced today.

Becker will be stationed at the Gridiron Greats Assistant Fund booth in the Allstate Arena concourse beginning at 6 p.m. when the arena doors open. He will sign autographs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. All autographs are free, but limited to one per fan.

A sixth-round pick in the 1982 NFL draft from the University of Michigan, Becker played for the Bears from 1982 through 1988 before playing one season with the Los Angeles Rams (1989). He returned to the Bears for one more season in 1990. He currently is the associate head football coach for Marmion Academy in Aurora.

The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund (GGAF) is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) corporation, established to provide financial assistance and coordinate social services to dire need retired NFL players who are pioneers of the game and have greatly contributed to the NFL's status as the most popular sport in America.

Thanks to Mike Ditka's involvement as owner of the Rush and member of the GGAF's Board of Directors, Gridiron Greats will have a presence at each Rush home game, staffing a booth in the concourse with GGAF merchandise for sale to benefit the charity. In addition, GGAF will have former NFL stars make appearances to sign autographs throughout the season.

Good seats for Saturday's game remain available. Fans wishing to purchase tickets should call Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or visit the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets - which range in price from $10 to $60 - also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
