Former American Idol Contestant To Perform At Silverbacks Home Finale

Miami Valley Silverbacks fans will get a special treat Friday, May 16 during the regular season home finale at Rapid Fire Field at Hobart Arena in Troy.

Former American Idol finalist, and Wayne High School senior, Mia Coleman will take to Rapid Fire Field to perform live at halftime of the Silverbacks' contest with the Kalamazoo XPlosion.

Coleman, who earned a trip to Hollywood during this season's edition of Fox's reality show American Idol, will also sing the National Anthem prior to the game.

Ms. Coleman advanced to Hollywood after wowing the judges in her audition in Philadelphia.

The Silverbacks will also honor the Graham wrestling team for their National championship this winter.

Miami Valley is currently tied with Rock River and Fort Wayne for the final playoff spot in the Great Lakes Conference. Kalamazoo has already clinched a playoff spot for the second consecutive season.
