Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO - December 7, 2015 - The Orlando Predators have agreed to terms with former Oklahoma Sooners offensive lineman Adam Shead, the franchise announced today. Shead enters his rookie season in the Arena Football League.
"Adam is a big, powerful blocker who has played in big time games throughout his college career," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "He has his sights set on playing football at the highest level and will have a great opportunity to showcase his tremendous talent as an Orlando Predator."
Shead (6-4, 315, Oklahoma) started 39 games for the Sooners during his college career at Oklahoma. As a senior in 2014, he earned second-team All-Big 12 Conference accolades while anchoring a unit that allowed an FBS-low nine total sacks. A starter at left guard, Shead paved the way for an offense that ranked 10th in the nation in rushing, racking up 261.2 yards per game on the ground.
Following his collegiate career, Shead participated in the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine and attended Chicago Bears rookie minicamp.
