Philadelphia Colonials News Release
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. â Philadelphia Squires General Manager Jeff Wilson announced today the hiring of Tiffany Reader, a former Philadelphia 76ers dance team member, as dance team director for the American Basketball Association (ABA) team.
"After spending two years on the Sixers dance team, Tiffany has proven that she is one of the top dancers in the Delaware Valley," said Wilson. "Her choreographing background is equally impressive, and she will certainly make the Squires dance team an exciting and dynamic addition to our organization. We are extremely happy to have Tiffany join our staff."
Since the age of two, Reader has studied various forms of dance from a diverse cast of instructors. A dance education graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, she is currently studying mental health therapy at Drexel University in pursuit of her master's degree. During her undergraduate career, Reader worked as a dance instructor and choreographer at Chez Dance Studio in Washington Township, N.J. In addition to her new position with the Squires, Reader is also employed as a special education teacher, working primarily with autistic children.
"I have been taught by the best in dance and choreography and am ready to pass my knowledge along to make the Philadelphia Squires dance team one of the best within our industry," said Reader. "I have a million original and creative ideas that are going to make this dance team succeed professionally and become recognized within the Philadelphia area."
Reader will be conducting dance team auditions at the end of July. For more information, please e-mail treader@phillysquires.com or call 484-995-4772.
