Cleveland Force News Release

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Members of the Cleveland Force Professional Indoor Soccer Team will provide some Holiday Cheer this season as they will take time out their busy schedule to visit two local children's hospitals. During the visits, the Force players will bring gifts for each child while spending some time with the children and their families at the two locations.

"The holiday season presents those of us who consider ourselves lucky with opportunities to give a little something to those who are experiencing difficulties. As professional athletes we are fortunate to be playing a child's game for our living and we realize that many of our fans are the children who play soccer or whom we have the chance to coach. For those who are battling various illnesses or trauma we are proud to have the chance to take the game to them. The players are really looking forward to visiting the kids and I don't have to tell anyone that there is no greater reward than being responsible for helping a sick child smile or laugh. Northeast Ohioans are blessed with two premier children's medical facilities and we look forward to continued involvement with them this holiday season and for years to come," stated Cleveland Assistant Coach Otto Orf.

On Wednesday December 22, Orf along with four to six members of the team will be visiting Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital from 2:30-3:45 p.m.

The Force will conclude their visits with a stop at the Akron Children's Hospital on Tuesday, January 4 from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

The Force players will present the children with a variety of gifts that will include mini-balls, full-size balls, autographed photographs, soccer cards and stuffed animals.
