Force Midfielder Selected To U.S. Representative Team

CHARLESTON, SC -- The roster for the second U.S. Representative XI was announced on Wednesday, June 2. In an upcoming match against the England National Game XI, United Soccer League (USL) standouts from the A-League and Pro Soccer League (PSL) fit up against the English Nationwide Conference All-Stars at Charleston's Blackbaud Stadium tonight.

Cleveland Force midfielder Justin Evans is the lone made is the lone Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) player to make the squad

Last season with the Force, Evans netted 20 goals in 35 games and was selected as the team's Most Valuable Player. In his last season with the Battery, Justin led the team in minutes played with 2,618 while scoring four goals and adding two assists

The U.S. roster consists of 12 A-League players and three PSL players. The Charleston Battery and Rochester Raging Rhinos lead the way with three representatives while the Virginia Beach Mariners and Charlotte Eagles each have two. As the game is considered a National Team representative match only US players were considered for selection.

The England National Game XI squad will feature the top professional players from the English Nationwide Conference and are managed by Paul Fairclough, who won the Vauxhall Conference with Stevenage Borough in 1996 and has also worked as Club Scout for Arsenal Football Club.

The inaugural game between these two sides was played in March of 2002 in Stevenage Borough, England. England won that game by a score of 2-1.
