
Force Midfielder Earns Player of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Cleveland Force and Pittsburgh Riverhounds midfielder Gary DePalma has been selected Pro Soccer League (PSL) Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending August 15.
DePalma, who is in his sixth season with the Riverhounds, earned the weekly honor for the first time this season after posting an assist and the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory over the Charlotte Eagles. This season for Pittsburgh, Gary has notched four goals and added three assists for a total of 11 points. In addition, he is tied for third in minutes played with 1,443.
DePalma was acquired by the Force in a trade with the Milwaukee Wave and St. Louis Steamers on June 10. Gary last played in the Major Indoor Soccer League during the 2002-03 season for the Philadelphia KiXX.
DePalma and Force draft pick Said Ali and the rest of the Riverhounds will take on the Harrisburg City Islanders in the opening round of the PSL Playoffs on Friday, August 20. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
