Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO - Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo today announced the team has signed midfielder Robbie Aristodemo (Ah-Wrist-Toe-Dee-Moe) to a three-year contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Aristodemo, a 27-year old Native American and resident of Etobicoke, Canada, was acquired by the Force on June 9 in a trade with the San Diego Sockers that sent forward Braeden Cloutier and defender Nevio Pizzolitto to the Sockers.
"Robbie will help us as a two-way midfielder joining Justin Evans and hopefully Gary DePalma to create a solid midfield group with flexibility to interchange positions with many of our second forwards. He is tenacious at both ends of the field. This signing will also allow us to explore other potential signings and/or trades as we pursue additional players," stated Garofolo.
Robbie has spent the last two seasons with San Diego after being selected in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Designation Draft of A-League players. In his two seasons in the MISL, Robbie has recorded 20 goals and added 21 assists for a total of 56 points. He has also notched 35 blocks. Aristodemo is one of the MISL Ironmen having played in every available game for the past two seasons.
