CLEVELAND, OHIO - - The Cleveland Force will take to the road this Saturday, December 11 when the team plays the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Eastern Division leading Philadelphia KiXX at the Wachovia Spectrum.
The action can be heard live on WHK 1420 AM or WHKW 1440 AM in Warren/Youngstown or live worldwide on the Internet at www.thesportsking.com. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
Cleveland travels to Philadelphia for the first of four trips with a record of 3-5 overall, 1-2 versus Eastern Division opponents, 1-1 in the season series and 1-2 on the road. The Force fell to the KiXX by a final score off 11-8 in the season opener for both teams on October 23 at the Convo, but won the rematch 6-3 on November 26. Cleveland is currently in second place in the Eastern Division 1.5 games behind Philadelphia and a half game ahead of the Baltimore Blast in third place.
The KiXX, after starting the season 4-0, have lost 4 of their last 5 games and currently have a 5-4 record, which includes a 2-1 record against Eastern Division foes and a 3-2 mark at home.
Force forward Antonio Sutton scored two of his team leading eight goals against Philadelphia. Forward Sipho Sibiya has scored three goals against the KiXX and both are Cleveland's point leaders against Philadelphia with three a piece. Team Captain defender John Ball has two of his team leading seven assists in the series. Midfielder Gary DePalma and goalkeeper Jim Larkin also have two assists each in the season series.
KiXX defender Pat Morris leads all scorers in the season series with three goals and one assist for four points in just one game. Philadelphia coach Don D'Ambra and former Cleveland midfielder Goran Vasic each have three points. Morris along with forward Joel Shanker will likely get their first action since returning from Chinese Taipei for the FIFA Futsal World Cup with the United States Futsal Team.
