ROUND TWO
Georgia and Philadelphia will compete against each other for the second time this season, with the Force taking the first match-up 57-49 in Philadelphia. The Force are making their third consecutive playoff apperance and the fourth in franchise history. Under the leadership of Doug Plank, Georgia has posted a 3-2 record in postseason games including a berth in ArenaBowl XIX in 2005. Georgia finished the regular season with the second best record in the AFL (14-2), which marks the best regular season record in franchise history. The Force are led by the top ranked passer in the AFL and first-year starter, QB Chris Greisen. Greisen threw for an alltime best 117 touchdowns on 392 of 530 passing for 4,851 yards during the regular season and earned an All-Arena first team selection for his efforts. WR Chris Jackson joined Greisen as a first-team selection as he finished second in the AFL in receptions (145) and receiving yards (1,915) in addition to 47 touchdowns. The third cog in the potent offense is All-Arena second team selection WR Troy Bergeron. He posted career highs in catches (132), receiving yards (1,736) and touchdowns (41) this season. OL Marcus Keys, DL Jermaine Smith and LB Umar Muhammad joined Bergeron as All- Arena second-team receipiants. Philadelphia enters the game having won three straight games including a 41-26 win over Orlando last week. QB Tony Graziani leads the Soul offense with 2,841 passing yards on 225 of 362 passing with 64 touchdowns. DB Eddie Moten is the captian of the defense and posted a team-high nine interceptions this year.
